You may be familiar with the trauma responses of ‘fight or flight’ – and we have an even deeper, more primitive response – the ‘freeze’ response.  This comes online when it’s unsafe for us to fight or to flee a traumatic event, and it is even more common than we realize. When we freeze, we can also dissociate – leave our body- to survive the experience.  We may not even remember what happened; however the body does, and it’s our fascia and organs that hold these experiences which we were too unsafe to experience, feel and process. In Chinese medicine, the lungs (and large intestine – as the paired organ) carry unprocessed grief.  In order to heal and release deeply held emotions, our bodies first need to feel safe, grounded and resourced.

In this healing meditation, you will be guided into a deep, slow brainwave state, to support your body in gently letting go of old emotional energy so you may experience greater freedom and spaciousness.
